The project EDD MIW came to life in 2017, but before that, many initiatives had taken place.

  • 2012-2013 : “En route pour Monastir”, an interacademy project with different French academies and their European partners. The aim was to build a solidarity action with a southern country concerning food and agriculture. At the end of the project, there was a simulation of negotiations at the Committee of the Regions in Brussels.
  • 2013-2014 : “Notre monde, my world”, an interacademy project with different French academies and their European partners. The aim was for students in the secondary education to raise their awareness on sustainable development and solidarity, and at the same time consider the European, or even the international dimension. At the end of the project, the students met in a conference based on UNO conferences. This took place at the World Meteorological Organization in Geneva.
  • 2014-2015 / 2015-2016 / 2016-2017 : “Climat, Klima, Klimat”, an academic project in Lille created by the Office of European and International Relation (DAREIC). It was a project of education to sustainable development, international solidarity and plurilingual citizen debate. During these 3 years, the students successively went to the UNO campus in Bonn, UNESCO in Paris and to the Committee of the Regions in Brussels to take part in different simulations of negotiations.
